Noise! That's all I can hear all around this month, though in many different forms. Fireworks while the Lord departed after 10 days festivity; clamor at the Uri border and the bewailing of the surviving relatives of the jawans, thunder rumblings of unexpected September rains and the successful trials of the fastest yet seemingly noiseless 'Talgo'. While few of these brought joy to the human kind, few others hung every humane head in shame. Nevertheless life goes on and one can only lookpositively at the future. I look forward to more noise! To the noise of the dhol nagadas, the beatings of the drums, during the soon approaching festive season of Navratri and Durga Pooja.
