Biotechnology is ail around us and is already a big part of our lives, providing breakthrough, products and technologies to combat disease, reduce our environmental footprint, feed the hungry, and make useful products. Sit its simplest, biotechnology is technology based on biology - biotechnology harnesses cellular and bio-molecular processes to develop technologies and products that help improve our lives and the health of our planet. Modern biotechnology provides breakthrough products and technologies to combat debilitating and rare diseases, reduce our environmental footprint, feed the hungry, use less and cleaner energy, and have safer, cleaner and more efficient industrial manufacturing processes. 'White biotechnology play a significant role in reducing greenhouse gases, the use fossil fuels and raw materials, leading to cleaner and greener industries. Adoption of biotechnology ensures the cleaner environment and also it cuts the cost of the processes.
