SASMIRA has been designated as a Centre of Excellence for Agrotextiles. The centre will be set - up in alliance with MANTRA, Surat, Navsari Agriculture University, Navsari as associate partners and IIT, Delhi as knowledge partner. The vision and Mission of the COE, Agrotextile can be stated as: "To become a world class leading service driven and research based international technical textile association to serve the industry in general and agriculture sector in particular".
