During the ITMA-Asia fair celebrated in Shanghai, China, July 2008, the Spanish company Gumatex SL (Jumberca) and the Chinese company Yifang Textile Machinery (Pacific Mechatronic Group Co. Ltd.) concluded a collaboration agreement in the fields of production, marketing, and research and development (P&D) for large-diameter circular knitting machines. This agreement is the fruit of two years of team work, and the companies believe it will make them more competitive in the international market. The first result of the deal is that it brings higher production capacity and lower costs for the equipment.
