March firings about lots of cheering for the so catted 'weaker sex' by way of International Women's Day celebration on 8tfi March. Internationally, seminars and other events are organised to acknowledge the contribution of women to humankind. Women hadyiroved their talent across a range of professions besides being a home maker. The share of women in the new high-paying knowledge industries is also on the rise. According to Nasscom, of the 1.6 million employees in the Indian IT industry, approximately 30% are women. By 2010, Nasscom predicts that the number will rise to 45%.
