A large variety of specialist functions called for in industrial wear has given rise to intelligent applications of textile materials. Anti-ballistic materials e.g. bulletproof waistcoats are one such example. Ballistic protection involves the protection of body and eyes against projectiles with various shapes size and impact velocity. This paper reviews the textile materials used for ballistic protection.
