摘要

1. Yarn tenacity and breaking extension of cotton and viscose rayon DREF-3 yarns reduce with yarn fineness. But for cotton-viscose blended DREF-3 yarns, the influence of yarn fineness on tenacity gets reversed. 2. Admixture of 6% viscose rayon in sheath fibres causes a significant improvement in DREF-3 yarn tenacity at the finest yarn count. But the admixture of 12% viscose rayon is detrimental for yarn tenacity irrespective of yarn count. 3. Unevenness of DREF-3 yarns is negatively influenced by yarn fineness. Admixture of 12% viscose rayon in the sheath fibres increases the yarn unevenness and imperfections drastically.
