In this issue of Management Research, the reader will be able to enjoy three very diverse papers that cover as many topics-strategy, organizational theory, and the establishment of scientific validity for the intellectual capital field. Two of these papers empirically analyze data, one from a Spanish sample of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the other from a sample of articles published in ISI journals. The other paper is an essay rooted in a historical reflection on the Portuguese national identity.
