The fifth of seven 40 000t "Wasp'-class amphibious assault ships, Bataan (LHD5), built by Ingalls Shipbuilding for the US Navy, has been commissioned into the US Atlantic Fleet. Homeported at Norfolk, VA, the ship will be a part of the Navy' s Amphibious Group Two.
