摘要

Nickel coating with large surface area has been formed by a hydrothermal deposition on Teflon (PTFE) substrate. The hydrothermal reduction from nickel sulphate and ammonia solution at 150 deg C results in the formation of uniform nickel layer (20-30 mu m) on Teflon surface. Ni-coated Teflon samples were characterized using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was found that nickel was homogeneously distributed on Teflon surface.
