A simple direct precipitation method has been developed for the synthesis of nanosized, homogeneous Ba(Ti_(0.8)Zr_(0.2))O_3 [BTZ] powders from cheap raw materials BaCl_2, TiCl_4, ZrOCl_2 and at temperature less than 100 deg C. The as-precipitated powder is monophasic Ba(Ti_(0.8)Zr_(0.2))O_3 from XRD patterns, and its size is approx 100 nm with narrow distribution.
