摘要

The International Conference on Functional Materials and Devices (ICFMD-2008), organised by the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia and the Ionic Materials and Devices Research Group (iMADE), in association with the Physics Department, University of Malaya, fulfilled its objective of providing a common platform for both local and international physicists, chemists, biologists and materials scientists. Held on 16-19 June 2008 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this was the second event in a series established in 2005. Under a single roof, the conference gathered together many internationally recognised experts who greatly contributed to the impact of the meeting and associated discussions.
