摘要

Rapid solidification of a binary alloy is considered for conditions of strongly nonequilibrium transformation from the liquid phase to the solid phase. Following the assumption of absence of local equilibrium both at the solid-liquid interface and in the solute diffusion field around the interface, an analysis for the response functions (temperature, chemical composition, and solidification velocity) is given. A discussion of the outcomes predicted by the present model in comparison with available experimental data is presented.
