摘要

A new form of iron(Ⅲ) orthovanadate(Ⅴ) FeVO_4·1.5H_2O was prepared at low temperature from mixing a boiling solution of iron nitrate with boiling solution of vanadium oxide (obtained by reacting V_2O_5 with few mL of 30 vol.% H_2O_2 following by a dilution with distilled water). The mixture was maintained under stirring for several days at 85℃ in order the product reaches crystallinity. When iron nitrate solution was not heated and added to boiling vanadium oxide solution, it leads to FeVO_4 · 1.1H_2O phase similar to the fervanite mineral.
