Lanthanum-enclosing silicate-fluorapatites or britholites Ca_(10-x)La_x (PO_4)_(6-x) (SiO_4)_x F_2 with 1 ≤ x ≤ 6, were obtained by solid state reaction at high temperature and characterized by X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy. The enthalpies of solution were measured in nitric acidic solution at 298.15 K using a swinging differential Tian-Calvet calorimeter. The determination of the formation enthalpies from the elements, were performed handling a thermochemical cycle and complementary experiments. In the studied solid solution the stability decreases with the rate of substitution.
