A PDE surface is solution to a boundary value problem with an elliptic partial differential equation (PDE). Previous work has examined the method of producing B-sphline approximations to PDE surfaces that are either four-sided or periodic in form (in Eulidean three-space). In the computer- Aided design arena four-sided patches such as these are the most common type of surface patches as They are the easiest to deal with mathematically.
