摘要

This paper addresses the synchronization issue of pulse based multiuser Ultra- wideband (UWB) system with chaotic spreading sequences. The cross correlation of dirty templates extracted from the received waveform is used to find the exact timing metric of the transmitted UWB pulses. The performance of the proposed timing estimation algorithms for synchronization in terms of Mean Square Error (MSE) is simulated. The robustness of the algorithms amidst narrow band interference is justified. It is also found that these algorithms perform better in UWB system with chaotic spreading rather Pseudo Noise (PN) spreading.
