Telecommunication systems using multiple antennas become increasingly popular during the last decade through results conducted by the fundamental work of Alamouti (1998), Foschini and Gans (1998) Kammeyer and Kuehn (2004). The reason for this interest is justified by the spectral efficiency afforded by deploying these antennas for mobile radio systems. Mainly two independent objectives can be distinguished: The first is to improve the credibility of the connection, this can be achieved by enhancing the signal to noise ratio. The second discusses the throughput. This paper deals mainly with various techniques using antennas, from SISO systems to MIMO diversity technology and thereafter a comprehensive description of these encoding techniques are presented we will describe how these techniques can improve transmission over physical layer in a wireless context by using orthogonal codes.
