Performance Analysis of NLMS Channel Estimation for AMC-COFDM

摘要

This paper focuses on the adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) techniques, it makes use of the channel state information (CSI) to improve the spectral efficiency (SE) in wireless communication systems. To achieve higher data rates and lower bit error rate, a channel coding can be carried out in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM), called COFDM. These two techniques have been jointly used in new schemes using the normalized least mean square (NLMS) channel estimator, in order to increase the robustness of the system. The spectral efficiency and throughput performances of the suggested system are analyzed. Simulation results show that the NLMS-AMC schemes, in the COFDM system, provide a significant improvement compared to fixed transmission schemes (NLMS-COFDM).
