It all began 160 years ago, with the production of harvest nets for use in agriculture. Today, Filt 1860, Mondeville/ France, manufactures knitted nets and braided cords for the international market. The nets are exported to more than 50 countries all over the world. They are used in areas as diverse as water treatment, transportation or packaging. We all know them: the indestructible net shopping bags that can be found in every vintage home today. Some years ago, Filt redesigned its net shopping bags - with the aid of traditional craftsmanship and a fresh design. After all, since 2017, the company has belonged to the well-known national network of companies that have been awarded the 'Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant' label (presented to enterprises that work for a living cultural heritage) presented by the French Government.
