Problems with reduction-sensitive dyes have often been reported, for example when dyeing PET, PET/CEL or particularly PET/CV articles. The TEGEWA Dyeing Auxiliaries Working Group carried out a comprehensive inter-laboratory test in order to develop a reproducible test method that shows the mechanism of anti-reducing agents in the dyebath and when dyeing polyester or blends containing cotton or viscose.
