A smart uniform for firefighters incorporating a sophisticated wearable device that monitors body heat has been developed by the producer of advanced fibers and composites Teijin Ltd., Tokyo/Japan. The company also revealed that it has succeeded in predicting the risk of firefighters' heatstroke during tests in the development of its new smart protective system (SPS).
