In the knitwear industry and in the manufacture of decorative functional and performance knits, the integration of aesthetic and performance supporting elements in the product is becoming increasingly important. Functional areas should already be incorporated as required in the knitted piece during production. In addition, production technologies are moving into focus which enable individualized and sustainable manufacturing. The Stoll technology by H. Stoll AG & Co. KG, Reutlingen/Germany, offers a large potential here. Not only will it allow the deliberate introduction of functional areas such as compression and variable structure zones, but also the implementation of appropriate due form designs, as well as the production of seamless products that enable production with little or no offcuts and waste.
