摘要

Weight and space saving needs always ensure new developments. This is also true in the field of drive technology. Hollow shafts are now often used at gearboxes and motors. Yet there was little or even no optimum connection option to connect the hollow shaft with a normal shaft. The shaft-cou-pling-type EWG was developed by Enemac GmbH, Kleinwallstadt/Germany, for such applications. It consists of 2 hubs, connected by a 4-wave stainless steel bellows. One of the hubs is a clamping hub, which can also be delivered with a keyway on request. On the other side there is an expanding cone, which can be easily inserted into the hollow shaft, so that the desired space savings is obtained. The coupling is available in 7 different sizes for nominal torques from 2-Nm.
