The new OptiMax-i rapier weaving machine by Picanol nv, leper/Belgium, and the new TerryMax-i rapier weaving machine for terry cloth were presented at an open house in leper. The new machines will be making their international debuts at the ITMA 2015. The new OptiMax is a very fast industrial rapier weaving machine. Thanks to its innovative design, it is also the most versatile and user-friendly rapier machine with very low energy consumption. It can be adapted to a wide range of fabrics, which means that it provides weavers with a great deal of flexibility in reacting to changes in market requirements. The TerryMax-i is a new machine for weaving terry fabrics that is for the first time available in a rapier format.
