The export value of textiles and ready-made goods shall rise from about US$ 11.2 billion in 2010 to US$ 54 billion in 2025 according to the long-term projections of the Indonesian Ministry of Industry. The number of employees is supposed to grow from 1.3 to 3.1 million people in this sector. The textile fiber production is to increase from 1.3 million tons to 6.1 million tons, supplying the domestic market with approximately 90% domestically produced fibers.
