The producer of textile processing chemicals Tanatex Chemicals B.V., Ede/Netherlands, has extended concepts that focus on environmental awareness: The 'be green' concept allows bleaching at only 75 °C. Process cycles using this concept reduce the total time, water consumption and CO2 emission up to 50 % and a reduction of 25 % in COD levels in the effluent. EPIC~3 stands for a commitment to the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) philosophy by implementing EPIC~3: Extraordinary Program for Innovative C2C Cellulosics Cycle.
