Dozens of terms have been used to de-scribe the flowform-ing process. Early development took place in Sweden in the early 1950s. The technology was embraced and new applications were developed by both Germany and the United States. The process is still mistaken for the more familiar technology of metal spinning, but name recognition and commercial applications continue to increase.
