I received a phone call from a reader asking for help. This was not a request for technical assistance, it was a request for legal assistance. The individual I'm referring to is a freelance die designer. He designed a progressive die for a client. The die did not produce the part to blueprint specifications with minimal grooming and the client sued the designer for such things as the cost of the design, the cost of building the die and the cost of lost revenues resulting from the inability of the die to produce satisfactory parts.
