Irecently had the opportunity to participate in a Kaizen event at one of our customer's facilities. The term Kaizen simply means continuous improvement. The particular event had to do with assembly, not metal stampings, but the philosophy could apply to nearly anything. My customer's reasoning for my invitation was to teach us to become a worldclass supplier and ultimately benefit them in the process. This was an exceptional opportunity and I finally realized "partnering" with a customer that wasn't a one way situation.
