Airbus Military has announced that the Indonesian Air Force has taken delivery of two C295 transport aircraft at the company's final assembly line site at San Pablo near Seville. These are the first of nine aircraft ordered under a contract with Airbus Military and FT Dirgantara Indonesia signed in February this year. According to the manufacturer, the aircraft will be known in service as the CN295 and perform a wide variety of roles including military, logistical, humanitarian and medical evacuation missions throughout the huge territory of Indonesia, which includes around 17,000 islands.
