The relationship between the military and journalists is a love-hate one. The "embedded" reporter, an information professional integrated with fighting forces, is present today in the various theatres of operation. What was the position of Italian embedded journalism on the front of the Great War? Had it the means to "see" what was happening and, especially, did it influence public opinion?
