There were many thousands of men and women who served as military police during World War II; many gave their all during those years. As a history buff, I have had the good fortune to become acquainted with many of them, through written and telephonic communications or through veteran's Web sites. Some contributed greatly by sharing their memories and photograph collections, which enables me to write their stories for Military Police. One contributor who helped me so much over the past few years became a very dear friend, and I was keen to meet him in person. In October 2017, I had the distinct honor of meeting Frederick L. Waggett Sr., a 93-year-old veteran who currently resides in an assisted-living facility in Massachusetts.
