Combining the ease with which multicopters handle manual or automatic VTOL procedures with the area coverage of fixed-wing aircraft, the G170-V offers operators the ability to cover up to 25ha of ground in 20 minutes, maintaining a ground sampling distance of close to 3cm from altitudes of 100 metres. The 20Mpix RGB camera with 12x zoom capability delivers autopilot-triggered, location-based aerial imagery with image overlap of 80% along track and 70% across track. The flight control system automatically transitions the aircraft from helicopter to fixed-wing flight mode when the threshold speed of approximately 10m/s is reached. GerMap offers the lightweight G170-V, weighing in at only 4kg, with a ground station incorporating flight mission planning and control software, together with appropriate training and mission pay-load options such as FPV or side-looking optics, at what it describes as, "highly attractive pricing."
