The international SOF community continues to play a leading role in the enhancement of ergonomics, human factors and SET developments with the latter now retaining its own element of USSOCOM Qualification Course. The Stress Inoculation Training (SIT) component falls under the remit of the Special Operations Center for Enhanced Performance, an area of interest for the Command particularly in light of developments associated with the next-generation Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS) concept which is due to be unveiled as a Technology Demonstrator in August 2018. A spokesperson for USSOCOM explained to MT how it continued to focus on particular roles across the Command including the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) where Pararescuemen or "PJs" and Combat Controllers "routinely operate" in areas associated with "severe stress."
