Bofors Test Center was spun-out as a company in 1999, when it was the testing department of Bofors, the weapons and ammunition manufacturer which no longer exists. When Bofors was split up into three companies - Saab Dynamics, BAE Systems Bofors and Eurenco Bofors, the Test Center became independent and yet remains under the ownership of these three new legal business entities.
