During this year's NIDV exhibition, held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on 19 November, Defence Service Tracks (DST) showed its iDLT 1028B steel track solution for BAE Hagglunds' CV90 IFV. Formerly a part of Diehl and now a Kraus-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) company, DST touted the quality of its latest track, a slightly different version of which now features on the German Army's modernised MARDER 1A5. Speaking to MT, Ingo Witt, one of DST's sales managers, explained that the company's double pin track has a number of advantages over the current single pin steel track that is found on the Royal Netherlands Army's CV9035NL. One of the benefits cited by Witt is the track's steel road wheel path which together with its double pin design, "reduces vibration and creates less noise."
