The next world war may not be fought with tanks and fighter jets but rather with software code. Some analysts think the cyberwar has already begun. "We are in the early years of a cyberwar arms race," stated Bruce Schneier, CTO of US-based cybersecurity analysts Resilient Systems, at Infosecurity Europe 2015. China, Russia, Iran, Israel, North Korea, the US, the UK, and non-state actors such as the so called Islamic State (IS) of Iraq and Syria and the hacker coalition calling itself Anonymous are all ramping up attacks on their perceived enemies via the internet… indeed, attacks on the infrastructure of the internet itself. Schneiersaid the myriad belligerents, "are building up for cyber war, and now we're all in the blast radius."
