In an interview, Altaf Halde, Managing Director - South Asia, Kaspersky Lab, informed MT correspondent Bindiya Thomas about cyber security trends emerging in 2016, Digital India and its complexities. MT: How important is India to Kaspersky? A. Halde: India is a very important market for Kaspersky. We have been present in the country for the last 10 years through our partners, having setup our own independent entity in the country and growing to a 23-member team. Growth has also been in double digits for both of our businesses, i.e. Retail and Business. This has only been possible because of the focus and belief from the management in the country due to its large market opportunity and technical advancement. Also, the fact that the Indian customer is always looking for very high level of technology helps us in the business, because Kaspersky offers the best solution in the market place.
