The Contemporary Operating Environment is forcing the world's leading armed forces to rapidly react to situations with dynamic levels never before witnessed across complex, congested, and contested battlespaces. It is advances in technology and concepts of operation (CONOPS) that have resulted in the advent of UAVs over the battlefield, quickly followed by developments in Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) with more conventional aircraft such as Boeing's AH-64 APACHE Attack Helicopter. However, the market is now witnessing the evolution of multi-configuration air frames or OPVs, comprising a limited series of fixed wing and rotary wing platforms capable of being rapidly re-roled for manned or unmanned flight across a variety of mission sets ranging from cargo resupply through to tactical insertion of SOF and CAS.
