摘要

EW is conducted to ensure and maintain freedom of action in the electromagnetic spectrum for friendly forces and to deny the same to the enemy. Without access to the spectrum, it is today impossible to plan a military operation effectively. The complexity of modern EW procedures achieves and maintains the dominance of the electromagnetic operational environment in all conditions, against weapon systems and electronic devices both very modern and dating back to previous generations (updated or modified). Modern EW must create fundamental effects on the electromagnetic spectrum to support friendly forces by generating control, detection, deception, denial, disruption, degradation, protection, destruction, and by using manned and unmanned platforms.
