BDT (Beretta Defense Technologies) Group, including the four major partners Beretta, Benelli, Sako, and Steiner, is developing increasingly advanced new products. During an exclusive briefing with our sister magazine RID, Michele Micheletti, BDT's Military Product Management Director, explained the following. BDT is working hard to develop two new separate products, but since it is the early phases of their design, the aim was to provide them with fully reciprocal integration capability. They are a new squad weapon and a new optronic precision sighting system. The latter is a compact opto-electronic Fire Control System (FCS) to be installed onto small arms.
