Mauderer Alutechnik, inventor of a variety of gap crossing systems for medium- to heavyweight military vehicles, also supplies the Armed Forces with foldable gap crossing ramps used for lightweight vehicles such as quad bikes. Already in use with British forces, the company's Gap Crossing System for Quad (GXC(S) Quad) was designed to improve the mobility of forces in complex terrain. Another interesting product includes the Mauderer Vehicle Ramp for medium-weight vehicles (MLC 12) like the British Army's JACKAL 2. It allows them to cross natural or man-made gaps of up to 2.5m by utilising two foldable ramps and a brace locking mechanism (BLM) that defines the distance between the ramps.
