Gen. Bikram Singh Reviews Operational Readiness of Southern Army: Army Chief Gen. Bikram Singh, reached Pune, on 11 September, on a two day visit. Lt.Gen. AK Singh, GOC-in-C, Southern Command briefed the Army Chief on the state of operational preparedness of the Southern Army. Gen. Bikram Singh also interacted with senior functionaries of Southern Command and addressed the officers of the station on the contemporary challenges facing the Army, the collective efforts required in overcoming these and requirement of maintaining the highest standards of operational preparedness and discipline.
