In the second decade of the 21st Century, is CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and, nuclear weapons) still a credible threat to civilians and to military operations worldwide? Ten years on from 9/11, does it maintain the same level of priority as the period immediately after the world's most devastating terrorist attacks on the USA? How has development of CBRN weapons by nation states fared since the end of the Cold War, and are they still regarded as a viable nation-state or terrorist threat?
