Personnel: 10,000 (including 460 conscripts). Organisation:rnUnder the Commander-in-Chief of the Air Force there are the General Staff and three Commands (Logistics Command, Personnel Command, Combat Command). Operational units are organised in five air brigades with a total of 11 squadrons (Grupos) as follows: Air Brigade I (Iquique): Grupo 1 (training/light attack) with 10 T-36 and 14 A-36 HALCON IIs; Grupo 2 (liaison) with 4 C-212s, 2 Beech 99As, O2-OAa and UH-1H helicopters; Grupo 3 (fighter/ground attack) with 6 F-16C Block 50s and 4 F-16Ds; Air Defence Group 24; Communication Group 34.
