The UK MoD has awarded Selex Galileo, a Finmeccanica company, a ￡19 million Technology Demonstrator Programme (TDP) contract for the development of an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar.rnThe contract includes development and build of a first of type, multi-function, wide field-of-re-gard AESA radar providing increased capability and performance when compared to conventional AESA fire control radar systems.
