Addressing Polish and foreign delegates, Mr. Marcin Idzik, State Secretary in the MOD and responsible for armament issues, gave a short overview, at Bait Military Expo 2010, of what the Polish Navy can expect in the years up to 2018. He said that a total of Slotys 5 billion (approximately €1.25 billion) had been earmarked for the modernisation of the fleet until that year. Plans include:rn1. Two GAWRON class corvettes (the building of the first one is way behind schedule and will probably take more than ten years in total).
