General Wolf Langheld (German Army) assumed command of Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Brunssum on 29 September 2010. The Command was presented to Gen. Langheld by Admiral James G. Stavridis (US Navy), the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR). In a ceremony held at the Brunssum Headquarters, Adm. James Stavridis handed over the Joint Force Command Brunssum flag to Gen. Wolf Langheld, succeeding Gen. Egon Ramms, who led the command forthree and one-half years. The handover ceremony was attended by allied and local dignitaries and representatives of Partnership for Peace (PfP) countries.
