摘要

Future naval radar systems will be required to operate in the challenging natural and battle environments presented by the littoral. It has been shown that to achieve the required performances, significant changes in technology, processing and control are needed compared to those used in conventional open ocean navalrnradars. An overview of the integrated and wide ranging research programmes being undertaken by UK MoD to meet these challenges and to provide the necessary techniques and technologies has been presented. Considerable progresses in these difficult areas has been made and now promise that new naval radars will be able to provide the high performance they need to effectively provide capability during littoral operations.
